On Friday, 8th December, all three 6th classes went to Glasnevin Cemetery for a guided tour of part of the cemetery. We were brought into the crypt where Daniel O'Connell is buried & we saw his sarcophagus...and touched it for good luck! We were guided around the burial places of some of the 1916 leaders and we heard some of their background stories. We even saw the graves of Éamon de Valera and Michael Collins. We enjoyed the guided tour very much and found it to be very interesting.
