St Canices 5-4 1-3 Our Lady’s Ballinteer
What a fantastic achievement for our senior girls as they won their semi final of the Cumann na mBunscoil league! In an incredible performance from start to finish the girls did themselves and the school proud. Led by captain Summer Keating and vice captain Lana Cummins, the girls quickly recovered from going a score down with a point from Zara Maguire. She quickly added a goal set up by the busy Grace Parker. We led at half but needed the energy of our bench early in the second half to kick on. Player of the match Alannah McDermott added a point and Summer and Zara added goals to their tally. Megan Downey and Eva Mooney were standout performers and Vilte Ausknyte played her usual industrious role in midfield. We now head for Croke Park on Tuesday for the final. Get knitting those pink and blue headbands. Let’s go Canices!
