Prepare your flags, headbands and bunting, we’re heading for Parnell Park!
On Friday our senior footballers went to Fingallians GAA for our Fingal League semi final. We had lost by one point at this stage last year but came out the right side of a one point victory this time around. A brilliant match was a draw at half time. Losing our captain, Summer Keating, to injury, only made the rest of the team more determined. With time running out and two points down, player of the match Zara Maguire scored a wonderful goal to win the game. At the final whistle, there was jubilant scenes with many happy tears from players (and some parents!) By winning the game, we also gained promotion for next years competition. A wonderful achievement given so many of our squad are still in 4th class! The girls will play in the finals in Parnell Park in two weeks time. Well done girls !
