February in Junior Infants Room 2 π₯πΈ
We have been learning about healthy eating and our sense of taste this month. We tasted some sweet, sour, salty and bitter foods. We read Oliver’s Fruit Salad and chatted about different healthy foods we eat each day. Then, we made our very own fruit salads! ππππ«
Our restaurant is still very busy. Some of the girls have been working on the wash up - cleaning up cutlery and dishes. We are also learning about capacity in maths this month too! We are trying to find out which containers hold the most. π°
We’ve been practising writing new letters and reading new words π
There are some signs of spring around our school! Daffodils are growing and we are beginning to learn about changes which happen during spring. Mr Walsh had some chicks π£ which hatched in his classroom. Some girls even got to hold the chicks!
Of course some pancakes were thrown into the mix too π₯
