October
Months don’t come busier than October in Room 23!
A Cumann na mBunscoile title, a television appearance and Hallowe’en made for a brilliant month.
RTE’s News2Day got in touch with Ms.Lyons asking if we wanted to appear on television. She obviously jumped at the chance. She told us the news with a game of pass the parcel. In preparation for the news segment, Vilte and Raluca put together a wonderfully artistic information display about International Day of the Girl. All of us spoke excellently about the importance of gender equality and the need for girls’ rights to become a global issue. Ella, Leah, Laci, Sophie, Lana and Laragh represented us with mini interviews with RTE’s Molly O’Connor. π€ We might have watched the finished news piece a *couple* of times π
Captain and vice-captain, Summer and Lana, alongside Laragh, Vilte, Zara and Sophie claimed the Corn na Laoch cup in Croke Park this month. A perfect excuse to decorate our classroom and corridor. They gave us all a wonderful day out and filled us with pride! π«ΆπΌπ
A maths trail as part of Maths week with 2nd class was another highlight. We hosted a disco for our buddy readers too. Laragh made a piñata and the girls arranged pass the parcel prizes for 2nd class.
We rounded off the month with a well deserved Cosy Day before we dressed up for Hallowe’en on the last day! π»
