Science Week - Planting seeds
15th Nov 2021
We decided to plant some seeds and see how they grow....Plants need water, air and sunlight to grow! Each girl carried out her own experiment
- We collected 'helicopters' from the sycamore tree in the school grounds
- We took a seed from the end of each 'helicopter'
- We placed 3 or 4 seeds on a piece of kitchen roll
- We sprayed the piece with water
- We folded the piece of kitchen roll in two and placed it in a ziploc bag
- We closed the bag but left a little space open at one end, to let in some air
- We then placed the bags on the window sill to catch the sunshine
We hope that the seeds will begin to grow and that we will see a root appear soon. We will let you know when that happens..... the photos will show you our work!
